1. When replying to a post, please remove the information about who you are
replying to. In Outlook Express, this is prefixed with the text "-----
Original Message ----- ". This information is not needed and can actually be
detrimental. If left in a post, it will be displayed in the archives and be
available to spammers if they go spidering the archives. Removing that
information is a public service to your fellow list members.
2. When replying to a post, please have your quoted material prefixed with a
close angle bracket (>) or a pipe (|). This makes it easier for your fellow
list members to see what is your original content and what is quoted
content.
3. When replying to a post, please only quote the relevant material. Leaving
the entire post that your replying to can be wasteful and can lead to
unnecessarily large posts.
Taking these suggestions to heart will make the list experience better for
all.
