I Doubt you can do it with just FTP access, but if he has given you root
access
then you can install whatever you want

The most popular control panels are Webmin (free) and Plesk (expensive)

  Subject: Remote Linux box

  Hi,

A guy seems to have a Linux box (definitely a Unix flavor), he's given
me ftp
access, any possibility for me to download CFMX eval/trial copy and
install it
on his box remotely (I'm on Windows XP)?  Ideas?

Hmm, just found, "NetOp Remote Control" support both Unix and Windows
OS, has
any one used it?  Your experience with it?

  Thanks.

  Don
P.S. I seem to owe a few beers to some of you :)
