As a bystander to this conversation, and as an agnostic I can say
wholeheartedly that this whole conversation has made me glad of the
choice i have made with regards to my faith, or lack thereof of

I have. :-)
And I also touched on a little bit of Talmudic study too, though since I
don't know Hebrew it was just reading other's arguments about things and
going "uh huh".
Ultimately, while I'm fascinated by religion from a sociolgical standpoint,
I didn't care enough about what it was saying to bother learning the
languages.
