It's the removal of some tables and use of CSS for certain style elements.
The main site framing is still a table as is the header bar and body section
of the lists. Everything else such as the side bar are all CSS.
It's not just speed. The new setup makes the pages more relivant and Google
is putting up much better adwords in places. This means that Google will be
paying more attention to the site and it's content and hopefully will result
in a better page rank.
