The people in the occupied territories have legitimate beef with the status quo.

Just because they are born in the wrong place (how much of them are actually younger as the last war?) they don't have liberties that we take for granted every day. You can't travel 10 kilometers without having to pass a military checkpoint. You can't vote off the people that write the orders for the people that man the checkpoint.
Can you imagine what would happen in the US if for the sake of fighting terrorism every car entering Manhattan were to be searched? If every county border would have a checkpoint akin to checkpoint Charlie?

I can only hope I would have the courage to make a stand and the wisdom not to become a terrorist.
