Blockbuster response to netflix and walmart for movie rentals?

I just received an interesting offer yesterday.  At least interesting enough for me to spend 15 minutes to read the entire marketing letter before I threw the entire package away.  But it seams that Blockbuster has partnered with the Columbia DVD club. I could get 5 movies for $0.49 and 10 free rental from Blockbuster, and I only had to buy 5 more movies in the next two years before I could quit.  

Almost interesting enough for me to consider since we do by several movies a year, but only a couple that we have bought this past year where on the Columbia list, so I passed at this time.

Thank you, but no thank you Blockbuster and Columbia.
