Yes. One of the senators who saw the pictures mentioned a man sodomizing himself with an object. He said there was blood. That's over the top any way you look at it.
But I agree, interrogation doe not have to be nicey-nice. But when I hear that women were often arrested because their men were not present, that some of them were raped, and at least one became pregnant and has now disappeared (shiver)
I don't have a link for this but it was in an interview yesterday with a female Iraqi college professor who was one of the sources for the Amnesty International report.
Treating this as a spoiler since I realized after the fact yesterday that the verb "to saw" was probably as distressing to other people as it was to me. Duh :)
