I still remember the lawyer who was trying to sue them on behalf of a worker
who died there. He was trying to show that they were failing to follow EPA
guidelines. When he tried to find out if fuel was stored at the base, jet
fuel that is, at an Air Force base, they refused to answer. If I remember
right, Clinton signed an executive order saying that the base was exempt
from EPA regulations. I wonder what ever happaned to the suit.
