Sure it's free. but do you really want one.  ;^)

Still, seriously, there's not much information: the article says "built on
free software" so does that mean that IBM taking existing open source
products and modifying them or dipping into its Lotus portfolio?  Personally
I think the latter would be pretty big news (although still not very market
effective), but the former not so impressive.

I've been waiting for a while for either IBM or Corel to open source their
respective office packages (as Sun did a few years ago).  (Corel has
numerous agreements with Microsoft so they're likely.)

Both companies have invested heavily in Linux and it would seem the next
logical step would be to throw the community a bone by open sourcing at
least that software that nobody is buying anyway.  ;^)
