You are assuming that "shell shocked", "jaded", and "cracking up" can only
happen after a certain period of time. I'm sure the minute you pull the
trigger and watch a life end, your mind is altered that very minute. I think
it is ludicrous to think that the troops are not suffering from mental
anguish or psychological trauma at this point. The problem is that the gvt
does very little to help these troops assimilate back into society after
living in a different world.
