Pretty straight forward risk analysis. What is the start-up's funding? When
will it run out of cash. Can you afford to be back unemployed in half the
time they tell you they have? How much additional pressure will this place on
the family and is the long shot upside worth it?
Congrats on your problem. Many would like to be in your shoes.
Regards,
Andy

Subject: when it freaking rains... advice needed

i need some advice
after being unemployed for 1 1/2 years, i was just TODAY offered 2 jobs....
one is with a 4 person start up company, the other is with Liebert tech.
the start up will have me as there web lead doing healthcare sites in asp -
which i need to learn ..
Liebert would have me build remote interfaces to there ups systems & other
main frame parts, i would have to learn jsp for .
what to do ??
Liebert offered me 2k more with a 7% year bonus, & is a 45 minute commute
the start up says i can make bucket loads 'if' it becomes a success , 15
minute commute.
on top of every thing else i just got a 500 buck check for 2 days worth of
freelance & have 2 other freelance jobs in the door..
