Thanks for the repsonses! I did read the posts on certification with much interest, particularly the one on how people with certifications get paid less - lol. I am defintiely looking for a change as opposed to just switching jobs.
As for my boss, I'm very lucky. He's a great guy. And he does know I'm not really happy. But there are a couple of problems: 1. He really doesn't do what I do - neither CF nor the "mind numbing" stuff. His supervisor is even further removed. 2. His position in the company is even more fragile than mine. He's likely to be either moved or.... 3. The primary billable work currently coming into the company is this stuff right now. So even if I make a lot of noise, it's not like they have other work to give me. Plus - they don't have to train me on it, etc., etc. So I really need to get out of here.
