Okay folks - I have been asked to write up and submit a job description for an unpaid intern at the place I just started.
My question is this - how does one write a job description for someone they know is going to have 0 to minimal experience, work 15-20 hours per week and have to learn quickly for the environment. To give an idea, I started a week ago today (Monday). On my first day I walked in, filled out the paperwork and was taking care of 5 major server-related issues by lunchtime. That afternoon I had to start quoting changes to legacy ASP apps and on Wednesday we had a CF project and a PHP project quote request come in. Luckilly the primary skill I'm going to need is coding... the graphics guy has an intern and two part timers. I'm the *only* programmer in the shop... yes, this is a start-up. No budget for another programmer as of yet.
