Great idea -- I'll vote for that. If you don't need the functionality to
communicate appropriately -- why burden our bandwidth with unnecessary
formatting code? 

If you really need HTML to accomplish OUR goal of understanding YOUR
message -- use it -- but it you are only sending a formatted message for
your own self-interest disregarding our (ALL list members) self-interest of
not being burdened by or able to delete inapplicable messages -- how is the
incremental difference between bandwidth consumed for HTML (as opposed to
simple ASCII) any different than SPAM? It does waste time (bandwidth) to
download HTML -- that time needs to be justified.
