In the research stages of discovering a smart path towards independent consulting.
Outstanding information gleaned from this "Consulting S...." thread!! What's really
cool, is that you all have shared your experiences from the perspective of using Cold
Fusion as one of your primary tools. Ya'll need to infiltrate the
alt.computer.consultants.moderated newsgroup!! Outstanding newsgroup for those of you
interested in finding out more about becoming an independent, and for those of you
already enjoying or struggling with independent status, there's lots of positive
support on that newsgroup!! Notice that I am referring to the "moderated" newsgroup
here. You probably want to stay away from the other newsgroup titled
"alt.computer.consultants" as the main topic of discussion is typically related to how
H1B's and Borkers (Brokers/Recruiters), are screwing up the tech industry. Lots of
whining going on in that other group. Go to alt.computer.consultants.moderated if
you're interested in an intelligent discussion about independent consulting! I've
recently picked up related information on health insurance, taxes, contract-tips, and
other good information there.
