Just as a side note here. CF was officially released in july 1995. (I was using it
from june 95). There are people that were using the alpha/beta version that goes back
to dec. 1994 (or so). CF 1.5 was released in 1996.
The issue is language. Someone may have been doing web work with the original servers
and such for 7-10 years, but having any reference to CF in that claim would be looked
upon as as a misleading statement.
"I've been doing Coldfusion and web work since early 1994"
Now here's a better statement of the above that is 'truer'.
"I've been doing Web applications since earyl 1994 using the available technology. In
mid 1995 I picked up ColdFusion and have been using it since"
While both statements are essentially correct, the second is more descriptive and will
avoid people like myself nitpicking it. :)
My wife is also my editor and I've kind of picked this up over time. Fun life that I
have. :)
