Excuse the off-topic post(this is meant to be a precisely fired flame that doesn't set everyone off - please follow up on CF-Jobs-Talk, business ethics is a great topic).
Lee, Please regard this as a kind warning. It has recently came to my attention that you have clearly and directly plagiarized my own posting on CF-Jobs. While this is certainly not a controlled forum, my words are my intellectual property and you will likely only hear them come out of my mouth in that certain order. Please refer to your post, dated Friday, April 05, 2002 10:58am, that I am replying to below. Notice the quotations email programs typically use. Here is a list of items you plagiarized from my post on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 2:06pm : Paragraph 1 "I do realize the value of face-to-face contact and am willing to travel. I am available as an employee or contractor." Paragraph 2 (verbatim, come on) "If you are in a position where you need an extra hand, I can surely be of assistance by providing efficient production and proven methodologies. If you are looking for expertise in application development and scaleable database design, you'll likely find my extensive skill set fitting of your exact needs." Paragraph 3 (this is absurd, verbatim again) "While adding strong business awareness and experience as a small business owner, I can understand your need for focus, efficiency, strategy, and returns. I look forward to hearing from you and providing remarkable service." Paragraph 5 (closing thoughts too, you are too kind) "From front-end interface design to back-end database systems, I can service your needs effectively. I can be contacted via email or telephone." note: I originally had 'website' here too, you could go to my site for the code on the form. Just make sure to change the action to your own processing engine, I don't want to receive all your contacts. And Finally: You call yourself an (e)consultant, how cheesy is that? While I am flattered by your admirance of my words, it is necessary to set the record straight. Your business integrity is obviously flawed and if you think you can be a successful consultant without upholding the strongest of moral values, you are more than wrong. Pardon to everyone who had to read this. I am not one to rant and do not want to start any flame wars here. Please understand my position of replying in public. A final note to Lee: There are reasons you were not allowed to plagiarize in high-school and in college you can be hung for not citing original works, likely the military had similar policies; in reality there are strong legal consequences to such actions and the internet only makes them easier to enforce. The funny thing is, I was looking at your posts to see if you were a possible candidate. While this post is not going to gain anything, I do hope it enlightens you to the ramnifications. Thanks in advance. No, this is hardly my idea of a fun way to start the weekend. Sincerely, Jason Gregory engineer, (e)consultant, free |a|gent [EMAIL PROTECTED] 616-382-2118 http://www.soulardesign.com ps. My original post isn't in the List Archives. I was going to suggest running WinDiff to all those who had some extra time with nothing to do. Oh well, my bad for posting it to the wrong address. I think Micheal worked some magic on the mail spool, many thanks to the admin gods. For the record, I have posted my original message at the very bottom. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Foster, Lee" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Jobs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, April 05, 2002 10:58 AM Subject: Cold Fusion Developer with over 6 years of experience > Hello All! > > Cold Fusion Developer using the fusebox methodology and with a solid > background in SQL.
