Hi all - I recently had to turn down an offer from an Oak Brook, IL based company who was looking for a full-time onsite ColdFusion 5/MX developer. They're a solid company, and the position looks like an excellent long-term opportunity. They're main needs are a CF developer (certification is a huge plus) with 3+ years experience, MSSQL Server 7 or 2000 background - mostly familiarity with its structure and some T-SQL, but mostly SQL skills - along with good DHTML/Javascript skills and a familiarity with their development environment (Dreamweaver UltraDev/MX). The *only* reason I turned it down was that another position came up that afforded me the opportunity to move closer to family and friends and with two daughters under 2 years old, we can use all the free babysitting we can get ;)
Anyway, the salary is pretty good for the area and the benefits are very comprehensive (health, dental, life, AD&D, 401(k)). It's a travel agency, so you can also get perks like cheap vacation packages and the like. If you have some travel industry experience, you'll be a slam-dunk. They're looking to fill the position VERY soon (like by next week at the latest), so they're not courting anyone who's not a Chicagoland resident. DO NOT contact me about the position.
