The individual will report to the Director of Admissions and work with members of the College to determine further areas of development. He/She will play a major role in shaping the future development of the site. Responsibilities: . Serve as the primary point of contact for content changes for the website and publications. . Maintain and upgrade Content Management System (ColdFusion/MS Access). . Coordinate development of departmental websites and manage persons responsible for those sites. . Manage the ongoing entry and maintenance of University portal content with the Associate Dean's Office and Lang concentration chairs, program directors, and faculty. . Assist students and advisor in development of on-line student literary magazine. . Serve as liaison to web server company, Hostcentric, regarding server upgrades and problems. Qualifications: . Knowledge of HTML: a. Sophisticated layout using HTML and its cascading style sheets. b. Ability to hand-code HTML b. Able to do Creativity and flexibility. . Familiarity with Cold Fusion, SQL, PDF files and JavaScript. . Knowledge of Quark Xpress, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand, on both PC and Macintosh platforms. . Track and archive changes made to the website. . Update and maintain the accuracy of static information on our site as well as responding to selected inquiries about the website. . Assessing strengths and weakness of our website and its applications and making recommendations for improvement. . Provide monthly written progress reports. . In co-ordination with the Associate Dean's Office, gather relevant material and publish a weekly/ monthly electronic Lang Faculty Newsletter to assist in the effective distribution of important faculty information. . The position of Part-time Webmaster requires a detail-oriented team player that is able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. . The successful candidate must also be a motivated, self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision. . The individual will also work with printer and other outside vendors.
