Hi all, My group is looking to bring in a junior level DBA type person. You will mainly do work in Oracle 8 (some SQLServer2000 and Access). The work will mainly involve creating tables, views, triggers, stored procedures and performance tuning of queries and views. Creating data feeds for other systems or PLSQL jobs to feed files into our system form others. We also do use Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
The reason I am posting on the CFJobs list is that we mainly use CF as development language along with some ASP and looking at JSP and if you some knowledge of CF that would be great, but you would not necessarily be coding in CF, more than likely looking at CF code to see what can be done with queries to gain more performance. Any maybe some CF developers might also know of someone who is looking. Here are some of the requirements: 1) Oracle 8i experience 2) SQLServer 2000 and Access 97 - lite experience 3) PLSQL, SQL, and tools (we use PLSQL Developer) 4) Just a understanding of how web applications work and interact with databases. 5) Desire to learn more.
