Web & New Media Programmer 

Position Description:

Website Administration and Design:  Responsible for maintenance and administration of 
existing website architecture, content management systems, and e-commerce activities 
and for designing creative, effective web sites that meet the on-line needs of all the 
company's businesses while ensuring business and marketing objectives are met. Duties 
would include but are not limited to: developing dynamic and interactive Web services, 
supervising content production and updates for multiple websites, monitoring and 
measuring web site activities, managing e-commerce  transactions, as well as creating 
thorough documentation of these systems.

Application Support and Development: Assist in the development and implementation of 
corporate collaborative services, intranet and extranet applications, and end-user 
interfaces to back-end database applications. Design and implement creative concepts 
for interactive media for websites, CD-ROMS, presentations, and kiosks.

Special Projects: Participate in IT policy development and implementation. In 
coordination with business management and IT staff members, participate in special 
projects as needed.

Position Requirements:

Technical: Expertise in a wide variety of data structures and programming languages. 
Must have good scripting and programming skills using: Cold Fusion MX, HTML, 
JavaScript, SQL, XML, ASP and VB/VBA. Demonstrated understanding of screen design 
issues such as cross-platform compatibility, color and quick loading of images, strong 
technical skills, and an understanding of operating system differences. Macromedia's 
Homesite, DreamWeaver, Director & Flash a plus.

Style and Process: Self-starting team player with an ability to plan and execute 
detailed work to effectively meet objectives. Flexibility in style to accommodate a 
wide variety of work situations with a broad range of associates. Positive, solutions 
oriented approach. Dedicated to quality.

Education & Training: College degree preferred in IS or related discipline. Non-IS 
degree acceptable with appropriate advanced education, training and/or experience with 
IS disciplines. Demonstrated initiative to remain current in skill development and 
knowledge of hardware and software used by the company.
