My first was an analog calculator, about 1958, having two calibrated rotary
pots, with an opamp I think. With one wiper you decided an operand, then
rotated the other until the output from the signal pulses matched, there
showing the result on the second dial. Different dials for different
functions. Still kept that slip stick handy.
