Position Summary: Senior ColdFusion MX Developer (Application Programmer / Analyst - Staff Specialist) needed to join Sun Life's web application development team. Participate as a front-end technical lead on ColdFusion projects developed within a service-oriented architecture. J2EE and Macromedia Flex experience a plus.
Position Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are designing, developing, debugging, and documenting ColdFusion applications. Additional responsibilities include - Leading and mentoring other developers. - Provide accurate effort-estimates for deliverables - Perform feasibility studies to analyze cost/benefit trade-off of system solutions - Provide maintenance and support for existing applications - Follow and promote industry best practices - Work with J2EE developers to interface with back-end services. Position Requirements: - Bachelor degree in computer science - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - 6+ years of programming, architecture and analysis experience - 4+ years architecting and developing ColdFusion applications including experience with: ..... Coding CFCs and UDFs ..... Coding custom tags (both CFML and Java based) ..... Interfacing with web services ..... Making direct Java object calls ..... Reading / manipulating XML data structures ..... Coding SQL and stored procedures with enterprise database system (ex.
