My client is the world leading seller of 3D Models and 3D Application Plug-ins. The company is 5 years old with 20 employees and has kept its small company mindset of cooperation and teamwork. The companys core business is providing content to the 3D development community, but now my client is expanding into game production. ROLE: The software engineer is responsible for working on the front and back end in a vast e-commerce marketplace. Youll get the chance to work on straight web development, client and server development for Windows, and coding for various game engines as our marketplace is extended to the computer game world. The ideal candidate is someone who loves to play games, enjoys having their work out in public, and wants to telecommute and maybe even move to New Orleans, though that is not required. The main technologies used are Dreamweaver MX for ColdFusion, MS VC++, and SQL Server 2k. REQUIRED: Expert ColdFusion MX or .NET Web Development Expert Windows VC++ Application Development MS SQL Server 2k Education requirements include an education in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics Courses An understanding of good software Engineering practices. Must have at least two year experience & strong understanding of C++ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven ability at successful multi tasking under pressure DESIRED: Active-X Plug-in development for Internet Explorer An avid game player and strong interest in pushing the industry forward creatively Ability to analyze existing code bases and work with game engine APIs.
