-brian Job description: This is my direct client opening - ColdFusion Developer - Washington, D.C. - Permanent Position My client is looking for a ColdFusion Developer, preferably with ASP.NET experience, as follows: Strong proficiency in ColdFusion, HTML, JavaScript, ASP, CSS. Strong database design concepts specifically using Microsoft SQL Server. Any ASP.Net (VB.NET or C#) experience is a HUGE Plus. Minimum 3 years experience in developing web-based database applications in a legal or corporate environment. Four year college degree. Good communications - with management and the user community. Able to get the requirements from the management and create the design of the application and then do the subsequent programming, testing, implementing and training i.e. be a 1 man-project team and complete the SDLC. Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary including weekends and holidays. This Developer is responsible for the following: analysis, design, development, customization and quality control of custom applications to meet the needs and integration and development of critical systems using Microsoft SQL databases as back-ends and web-based front-ends/interfaces with programming in HTML, JavaScript, ColdFusion, Visual Studio.NET, VB.Net, ASP, CSS and DHTML. This person will need a thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. This individual must have good written and oral communications skills in addition to being a good "team player". This developer is expected to become a lead developer shortly within the IT department and support our Intranet and Extranets applications. This is a Full Time Permanent FTE position with our client in their Washington, D.C. Office. Salary will be DOE ($65K - $75K/year). Client is not offering any visa sponsorship.
