<A HREF="www.complianceweek.com">Compliance Week<a> is looking for an experienced Java/Cold Fusion developer who, working closely with the CTO and other CF developers, will create new online data-access applications and re-factor existing ones.
This is a challenging position with aggressive deadlines, so you must be self-starting and capable of delivering strong, supportable code with minimal supervision. You must have proven experience: - developing business objects in J2EE and integrating them into CF - proficiency with: Perl, PCRE, SQL, DHTML, javascript, XML and CSS - excellent documentation skills and code hygiene You should also have a working knowledge of MSSQL, IIS, Linux and Mysql. Your resume will magically leap to the top of the pile if you have two or more of the following: - experience with Fusebox (to help get rid of it) - experience porting existing CF5 applications to CFMX - understanding of and appreciation for publishing workflow - text indexing, search and retrieval (lucene?) - text analytics/mining (categorization, KEA, UIMA) - computational linguistics (POS tagging, named entities, etc.) General qualifications: - must be able to work and communicate effectively in a small team environment - must have a sense of humor - must be able to work in U.S. Compliance Week is a fast-growing publisher of financial regulatory news and related products located in Boston's historic North End.
