I'm looking for an advanced-level ColdFusion developer to fill a
full-time position with good pay and excellent benefits, at the
University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

A firm understanding on the following technologies and concepts:
o JavaScript
o CSS
o HTML/CFML/CFSCRIPT (seriously...)
o ColdFusion Components
o Object-Oriented Programming Concepts
o ColdFusion Web Services
o Service-Oriented Architecture
o DHTML/Document Object Model (particularly IE)
o ModelGlue, Mach ii, FB4 experience preferred
o Familiarity with Java is very helpful but not required

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, customer-oriented technical
person who is able to work with non-technical business users to develop
specs, implement, document, and support projects through their entire
lifecylce.

JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY: Function: Provides analysis of business and management problems
in terms of system and user-department requirements.
Scope: Impacts computer systems throughout the institution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Consults with departmental personnel for problem definition and
management requirements. Analyzes source documents, data base structure
and management report requirements. Coordinates systems improvements
between Information Systems and user departments and provides necessary
documentation and consultation for implementation of system.

MARGINAL OR PERIODIC FUNCTIONS:
Presents systems studies to user personnel. Other duties as required.

SUPERVISION: Received: General supervision by Manager.
Given: May provide supervision and training for Programmer Analyst and
other classified personnel as assigned.

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science,
Accounting, Business, Math or related field. Experience may be
substituted for degree.
Preferred: Degree plus some graduate work.

EXPERIENCE: Required: Seven years of experience in
analysis/design/project management/programming with a minimum of two
years in systems analysis and the remainder in programming.
Preferred: The required experience plus two years supervisory experience.

OTHER: Required: Knowledge of the capabilities of the medium to large
scale electronic computers and related peripherals.
Preferred: Knowledge of specific hardware and software in use at The
University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Office Environment.
