Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant you will apply your technical and business expertise in Business Applications to a broad spectrum of activities including technical consulting, education, application integration, business development, and client and project management. You will often function as a primary client contact, communicating regularly about schedules, deliverables, and risk. You will develop an excellent base of knowledge of each client's business, organization, and objectives in order to be able to play a leadership role in recommending, designing, and implementing appropriate client solutions. Qualifications & Experience -3-5 years Java/J2EE development experience -enterprise strength Application Server (Weblogic, Websphere, ATG Dynamo -3-5 years experience with ColdFusion , and preferably experience with a large Cold Fusion implementation -3-5 years Database experience (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server) -training/teaching experience -strong/excellent written and verbal communication skills -client management experience -project management experience (small project teams of 4 to 5 people) - ability/willingness to travel as much as 50% of the time.. (mostly North America). Additional skills/experience requirements: - Adobe Flash ActionScript, and/or Adobe Flex and/or Adobe LiveCycle and/or Adobe FMS2 As a Senior Consultant you have seven to ten years of relevant professional experience. You have an excellent understanding of all components and principles of the Business Application reference architecture and the ability to communicate this to others. You understand and appreciate that business requirements and opportunities ultimately drive technology solutions. You understand the commercial aspects of the Professional Services business. You are able to work with minimal supervision and mentor more junior people. You are comfortable working with mission critical, enterprise level Business Applications. You are very familiar with 3GL languages, front-end design and development, legacy system integration, object-oriented technology, and database, web, application, and transaction servers. You have experience with the full development life cycle and methodologies. You have strong active listening skills that enable you to establish business requirements. You can lead the development of proposals of moderate or large scope, can estimate your own work and that of others, and can assess risk factors. You have industry and/or application expertise in at least one of the following areas: Portals, Content Management, Ecommerce, Personalization, Enterprise Java, or Web Services.
