PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Develop and maintain assigned programs and information systems to ensure efficient systems integration and operation. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In conjunction with departmental directives, work on all phases of information systems development and maintenance. Seek out optimization opportunities by developing an in-depth understanding of the business information flows. ⢠Participate in requirements identification ⢠Create design and program specifications ⢠Develop and deploy error free code according to specification ⢠Design and document information and system flows ⢠Develop and perform system test plans KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL ⢠Associates Degree in Computer Science, Programming Certification, or equivalent ⢠2-3 years programming experience ⢠Demonstrated competence in Microsoft SQL Server, ColdFusion, J2EE, JSP, XML, HTML, JavaScript ⢠Familiarity with system design techniques used with Relational Database and Web based environments ⢠Familiarity with testing and change control procedures to ensure flawless systems deployments PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING Typical challenges will include debugging system and programming problems, coordinating task and project deadlines within a loosely structured environment, and implementing systems or enhancements with minimal disruption to the business units. Communication among intra-departmental and diverse business groups is key to the success of this position.
