Position Title: Senior Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
⢠Demonstrates proficiency in the development process including
designing, developing, modifying, testing, documenting, and supporting software
programming assignments.
⢠Supports and documents programming assignments.
⢠Requires minimal supervision when writing code, unit testing,
integration testing, debugging, using class libraries, and working with version
control software.
⢠Consistently executes department standards for source code construction
and development process.
⢠Participates in analysis activities, software design reviews, source
code reviews, and GUI design reviews.
⢠Has the capacity to perform responsibilities of a project lead on small
projects.

⢠Uses the bug tracking system to document necessary code changes and
follows standard versioning requirements using the departmentâs source
control system.

Experience:
⢠2-7 years software development experience (for example, Client/Server,
Web application development).
⢠Experience in database design/normalization, SQL query/optimization,
stored procedures and triggers in MS SQL server.
⢠1-3 years Cold Fusion development experience.
⢠System integration experience.
Education:
⢠4-year college degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science or Information
Systems (or equivalent work experience).
Personal Characteristics:
⢠Must have data design experience.
⢠Consistently executes department standards for source code construction
and development process.
⢠Should have good written and oral communication skills and practice
good listening skills.

⢠Must have experience using version control tools (for example, Visual
Source Safe, ClearCase).
⢠Experience in an Application Service Provider (ASP) environment.
⢠Basic understanding of distributed computing technologies is desirable.
⢠Understanding of the tools and techniques used to measure and improve
software system performance is desirable.
