The team I am on at the company I work for is looking to hire one to three
part-time/full-time employees. We are working on some really cutting edge,
real-time web-based database system called eCOMPAS that track outcomes and
success for federal programs, healthcare, and the pharmaceutical industry.
We're also working on some very interesting applications involving the Police
and Sheriff's Departments. The primary language driving all of this is
ColdFusion.
The federal government asked us and our client to present the eCOMPAS
technology and methodology in Washington, DC, as a national best practice to
the rest of the country, which we just successfully completed in August, and
the response has been amazing. There are several related projects that are
now underway and we are looking for good people. The company is a 25-year old
small business in Clifton, NJ, called RDE Systems. The owner is a former
Rutgers professor who developed the first Technology Curriculum for the Rutgers
Masters in Public Administration program, so it's a very student-friendly work
environment.
The real-world experience I have received and continue to receive working at
RDE is unparalleled. We are looking for good programmers who have good working
knowledge with databases/SQL and web-programming languages like Cold Fusion,
ASP, or PHP. Also, research opportunities are available. E.g., a Columbia
University PhD student and her mentor are getting published for research on
data that was done using eCOMPAS, and we will be presenting with them at an
international medical adherence conference in March.
