The Senior Programmer, ColdFusion, is the lead technology developer in our organization. This individual is responsible for the production and maintenance of our existing products and the development of new features, upgrades and other product improvements.
General Responsibilities: Using ColdFusion MX7, SQL and other web-related technologies, the Senior Programmer is responsible for the design, development, modification and production of our established, Internet-based software product and for custom web sites we produce for a limited number of legacy clients. The Senior Programmer collaborates with project management staff to design and implement product upgrades, and recommends and implements performance improvements and handles application maintenance and troubleshooting. The Senior Programmer would be responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading servers. They are also responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up, and that server data is secure from unauthorized access. Required Skills: *Superior degree of proficiency and minimum 5 years experience developing web-based applications using ColdFusion, including coding, analysis, debugging and documentation. *Strong working knowledge of SQL 2000 relational database structure, creation and maintenance; experience with SQL integration with web-based content via Cold Fusion is mandatory. *Ability to concept, design and build database triggers, relational databases, stored packages/procedures and a working knowledge of design and implementation of object oriented programming. *Substantial experience with e-commerce applications, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, J-Query and other web-related software and techniques. *3 plus years experience with server management. Qualifications: All qualified candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with 5+ years experience in the field, or equivalent working experience. Knowledge of a variety of the field's newest concepts, practices, and procedures and how they can be applied to the solution is expected. A qualified candidate should possess certification as a Microsoft Certified System Administrator or the certification/experience necessary to support the New Linear environment.
