Our client in downtown Boston is looking for is looking for an exceptional and motivated individual experienced in creating rich internet applications using Adobe Flex 2.0. The applicant should ideally have prior Flex development experience and have solid ActionScript programming skills. The terms of this contract will be three-six months to start, and extendable beyond those initial terms. Responsibilities This is a hands-on development position working in a diverse team of developers to develop user interfaces for various applications in the areas of performance and quality. The development environment is Flex 2.0 (targeting the Flash Player version 9) on top of a Java application server and an Oracle database. The candidate should ideally have significant experience in Flex 2.0, but 1.5 is equally valued so long as the candidate possesses the propensity and aptitude to learn Flex 2.0 quickly. The projects are data intensive and require extensive use of custom MXML and ActionScript code. * Adobe Flex development experience, creating rich user interfaces for complex applications is preferred. * ActionScript development skills, including retrieving and parsing XML data from an application server * Stylesheet integration and support * Hands-on Flash development skills a plus * Experience with other programming language technologies such as XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS * Background in OOP & re-usable code Preferred Skills 1. Using the Eclipse development environment with Flex 1.5 2. Creating web graphics 3.
