Seeking part time and full-time Cold Fusion developers to work remotely for a growing - consumer oriented E-Commerce company in a contract for hire position. The software development team consists of high caliber experienced professionals that work closely together as a team to maintain to build new components for an existing e-commerce site.
We require a strong mastery of ColdFusion 5 and up with a solid understanding of SQL query building and optimization. Proven E-commerce application development is highly desired. Experience with shipping systems, inventory control systems, EDI and payment gateways such as Cardinal Commerce, USA EPAY, Authorize.net with a working knowledge of web standards and web development frameworks such as Model Glue, Fusebox, Mach II is a plus. Development Procedures: Developers will interface with management staff and designers in a remote work environment. Developers will document work using basic code commenting. A standardized development methodology will be used for site development to ensure that the application code base can be maintained. The project will involve the usage of a version control system (Subversion) to manage source code changes. A minimum of 3 years experience is required in the following: ColdFusion programming skills (logic, functions, custom tags, user-defined functions, etc.) with an understanding of ColdFusion Server development environment (mappings, application architecture, variable scoping, client/session management, error handling, transactions, etc.). Advanced HTML skills. Must be able to hand-code HTML without use of WYSIWYG editors, using a text-based editor like CFECLIPSE ColdFusion Studio or Homesite. Understanding of basic Document Object Models/CSS, creating multi-page HTML forms, MSSQL relational databases (tables, views, stored procedures, data types, etc.), developing ColdFusion applications that interact with relational databases, MSSQL Enterprise, writing and debugging complex SQL statements, as well as create views and stored procedures, optimizing queries for best performance. Candidate must also be able to provide accurate estimates for proposed projects, have strong attention to detail.
