Visit our web site at: zsi.com Job Title: Client Server Applications Developer (ColdFusion) Location: Dallas Start Date: Immediate Job Description Responsible for development and deployment of web-based application systems using existing and emerging technology platforms. Additional responsibilities for this position are: · Designs, develops and documents new systems of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications designs and specifications, utilizing industry and System standard procedures, products and methodologies. · Designs or adapts frameworks and best practices established for the project or organization, or by the System or industry. · Creates test transactions and executes unit, system, performance and stress testing; revises test scripts as necessary. · Conducts analysis of business requirements for the development and/or deployment and implementation of application systems. · Develops detailed task lists and time estimates to be incorporated in project documentation. · Leads and participates in design and code reviews. · Participates in the evaluation and implementation of off the shelf products. · Provides application development support including developing application enhancements according to business priorities and schedules. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Five years of proven application development experience that includes creating and/or deploying and integrating web-based applications through analysis of business requirements · At least two years of Cold Fusion MX experience · At least two years of experience using relational database tools (MS SQL Server) and concepts · Must have experience as technical project lead on small development projects (two to five people) · Familiarity with and demonstrated use of enterprise design patterns and model view-controller-frameworks · Must have experience with providing written time estimates and clearly articulated alternatives for customer evaluation · Must have experience with creating detailed task plans and schedules for project planning and tracking · Ability to balance multiple projects while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through frequent written and verbal communication with the customer and application development manager · Cold Fusion Certification a plus · J2EE programming experience a plus · CM Synergy experience a plus Key Competencies: In addition to the above requirements, candidates will be measured against the following competencies: · Knowledge Transfer/Mentoring Others: Is comfortable with and willing to initiate sharing knowledge and experiences to develop others. · Action Oriented: Enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; seizes opportunities when they arise. · Approachability: Is easy to approach and talk to; spends the extra effort to put others at ease; builds rapport well; is a good listener; is sensitive to and patient with the interpersonal anxieties of others. · Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesnât stop a the first answers. · Learning on the Fly: Learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; open to change; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure. · Technical Learning: Is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge as well as business skills. · Written Communications: Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect. · Presentation Skills: Is effective in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings; is effective both inside and outside the organization. Education & Experience: A bachelorâs degree is preferred. Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted. Work Hours & Conditions: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime as required by management.
