Description/Job Mission Statement Working closely with the Development team and Project Management Office, the Release Manager will manage web application releases in a highly dynamic environment maintaining both scheduled and ad hoc releases. The Release Manager will monitor all releases, growing our capabilities to manage multiple releases and enhance our change control processes while maintaining version control systems. Primary Duties and Responsibilities ⢠Define, implement and manage release policies, procedures and tools ⢠Manage the release process across environments ⢠Work closely with project managers, development teams, quality assurance, and other teams to understand the project requirements and coordinate timing, dependencies and issues ⢠Plan and coordinate build and release schedules ⢠Coordinate with software developers and data base administrators to ensure modified code meets requirements for release to production and to maintain release history ⢠Introduce process changes as appropriate to help facilitate the delivery of quality products ⢠Ensure and prioritize scope of release in accordance with business requirement documents ⢠Create and communicate release documentation ⢠Configure, maintain, and administer version control tool, WINCVS Required Job Related Skills and Experience ⢠4 year degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred ⢠3+ years experience in release management ⢠Solid knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle and project management methodologies ⢠Experience with web scripting languages, ColdFusion a plus ⢠Proficient use of source control tools, WINCVS a plus ⢠Excellent written and verbal communication, team and people skills.
