We need to fill a full-time junior level web developer position within the central systems group at The Wharton School. While experience helps, we are ready to train someone who is self-motivated and excited about learning new technology.
The Job This is primarily a ColdFusion shop with an emphasis on rapid development. But experience working with other web platforms such as PHP, .NET, Java, Ruby, etc. applies. If you are strong on the concepts of web development, we are willing to help you learn a new language. The position involves a mix of creating new applications and supporting existing applications. All of our apps are database intensive, so experience and an interest in Microsoft SQL Server is a plus. We also maintain the servers that our applications run on, so you can expect to share in some systems administration. Our environment is mostly Microsoft Windows based.
