Rail Plus is Australasia's leading international rail specialist, supplying all retail travel agent groups and wholesale companies with a national online booking and ticketing facility. We represent all major European railway networks as well as Amtrak (USA), Japan Rail and other international rail and associated products. The website has become a core business tool and due to our success and growth over the past year we are looking to add more enhancements to the website in the next 6 months. Reporting directly to the eCommerce Manager you will be responsible for the development and implementation of major projects. Skills required · ColdFusion (at least 2 years commercial experience). · Web programming skills / experience creating interactive commercial web based systems. · Good understanding of web standards CSS/HTML/XHTML. · MySQL / SQL Server. · Web Services knowledge (XML). · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment. Desired · SEO / SEM knowledge and experience would be a big bonus. · Any AJAX experience would be a bonus. · Email marketing experience a bonus. · Familiarity with design package e.g. Photoshop / Fireworks · Enthusiasm, attention to detail and creativity! Projects Main responsibilities involve; · Adding many new enhancements to the website. · Developing and improving the comprehensive booking and reservations engine. · Developing our SEO strategy. · Enhance the product database as well as the organization and presentation of content on the website. This is a 6 months contract position with the possibility of extension if the successful candidate proves to be a vital contributor to the company. Rates are negotiable depending on experience.
