Teksystems is seeking a ColdFusion Architect for a contract in Daytona Beach, FL.
Project Scope: Ticketing system upgrade which is currently running on Sun hardware with Oracle 10g as the database platform and ColdFusion MX 7 as the application tier. Presentation is done through dynamically generated HTML (from the ColdFusion layer). The goal is to re-architect each layer in an evolutionary fashion allowing existing functionality to be provided to the business while new and enhanced functionality is deployed as it becomes available. The plan is to do a side by side installation of ColdFusion MX 8 to serve as the new application server running the new functional modules as they are developed and deployed. The existing CF 7 server would exist until the end of the project when all functionality has been transferred to the new environment and then decommissioned. The biggest change at the presentation layer is the introduction of a RIA (Rich Internet Application) style of interface, in this case based on Flex 2 from Adobe.
