VIPdesk is seeking a Web Developer with experience developing and deploying web-based applications, websites, and software. The person in this position will be involved heavily in the maintenance, enhancement, and programming of VIPdesk's VIP Concierge Service websites, wireless websites, and proprietary applications. Additionally, the Web Developer will be involved in the design and development of custom reports as needed by VIPdeskâs clients and the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ⢠Assist with the development and maintenance of web-based applications, websites, and software; ⢠Assist with the development and maintenance of third-party applications and systems (Interactive Intelligenceâs Customer Interaction Center (CIC) and Astuteâs ePowerCenter); ⢠Code, test, document, and debug all assigned software projects; ⢠Participate in peer code reviews; ⢠Adhere to coding best practices and established corporate standards; ⢠Perform independent and guided research and development in an area of specialization; ⢠Provide weekly status reports to the VP of Technology; ⢠Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement; ⢠Contribute to large-scale projects as needed; Qualifications: ⢠B.S. Computer Science (preferred) or equivalent experience; ⢠At least two years of web development experience; ⢠Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Classic ASP (Active Server Pages); ⢠Experience with SQL Server a plus; ⢠Experience with ASP.NET, VB.NET, or Visual Basic development a plus; ⢠Self-motivated, high energy team player; multi-tasking skills a must; ⢠Practical experience with Interactive Intelligenceâs CIC or Astuteâs ePowerCenter, a plus; ⢠Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ⢠Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills; ⢠Strong sense of urgency and strong sense of ownership; ⢠Self-motivated (proactive) and able to work independently; ⢠Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference security check;
