We have an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated full-time advanced ColdFusion Developer for an established private company based in southwest Austin. This position, as a key member of a small development team, will be responsible for the development and maintenance of browser-based applications and websites employing ColdFusion MX 7 (soon to be ColdFusion 8) and SQL Server 2005. There may also opportunities to develop applications using Flex and Adobeâs AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime).
This is an outstanding, permanent opportunity to use and show off your passion of ColdFusion development. You will be involved in the initial design and implementation, launch, and support of multiple new applications, enhancement of existing applications, and creation of internal tools to streamline processes. You will join a team of other senior level developers in a casual but fast-paced environment that encourages you to solve problems creatively and quickly. REQUIRED SKILLS - Demonstrated confidence in ColdFusion, including use of session variables, CFCs, consuming XML, and a familiarity with framework methodologies (we use Mach-ii). Preference will be given to Adobe Certified ColdFusion Developers. - Demonstrated confidence in SQL Server, including relational database design, stored procedures, and functions. - Demonstrated confidence in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. - Ability to communicate well with team members and customers, both in writing and in person. - Ability to show initiative and be ready to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Be someone that can take a project and run with it and produce quality work. EDUCATION - BS degree in Computer Science or related coursework required. - Six years related experience or combination of education and experience may substitute for degree requirements. - Preference given to Adobe Certified ColdFusion MX 7 Developers and those who are seeking certification, and to those who have been programming in ColdFusion over the past four to five years.
