This is a FULLTIME position. The job can be either ONSITE in Maynard, MA or selective candidates can TELECOMMUTE if you are within DRIVING distance to New York City or Boston for occasional one to two day trips. We can setup an immediate permanent placement or a contract-to-hire. At this time we are not able to sponsor visa candidates. Responsibilities: - Be the primary engineer for the application. - Translate business requirements into technical designs. - Design new features and functionality in support of strategic marketing initiatives and customer feedback. - Lead architectural design discussions and initiatives. - Redesign older sections of the database. - Take full responsibility for development and enhancement of core components. - Estimate work effort and work with the project manager to set timelines. - Support user acceptance testing. - Coordinate software and data deployments to the live site. Required Skills: - Five to ten years experience developing data driven web applications. - Minimum of two to three years experience developing ColdFusion applications. - Experience designing software and databases. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Work well in a small team setting. Any of these skills are a plus: - Web Services/SOA. - AJAX, CSS and/or JavaScript. - Perl/PHP. - Java. - Linux shell scripting.
