SUMMARY: The Senior Web Developer's role is to build the operations end
of the organization's Web sites and keep them running smoothly. This
includes designing, building, and implementing new Web pages and sites;
integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy
applications to the Web; and performing day-to-day administration of the
organization's Web portfolio. Use of a variety of Web development
languages is required, including, but not limited to .Net, ColdFusion,
and IIS.

 

 

*       Build dynamic templates and custom Web applications integrating
content, display formatting, and business logic using Web authoring
tools, programming tools, and SQL to integrate data from databases. 
*       Work closely with the Web Development Manager to establish
standards for application development, project management, and
application lifecycle. 
*       Assist in determining appropriate technology solutions for new
systems implementations. 
*       Configure and administer ColdFusion v.7 server, Internet
Information Server, streaming media server, Content Management System
(CMS).  Build components and applications for the CMS. 
*       Configures and administers Content Management System (CMS),
builds components and applications for the CMS. 
*       Create multi-media applications including Flash and other
audio/video technologies. 
*       Meet with Web development personnel on the specifics of
projects, new technologies, and project deadlines. 
*       Remain up to date on latest programming and browser technology. 

*         Install and configure HTTP servers and associated operating
systems, and establish appropriate server directory trees.

*         Identify, recommend, and prioritize new Web features and
applications in conjunction with business leaders and department
managers.

*         Oversee Web development projects, including intranets and
extranets.

*         Develop/code/install/test/debug/document Web applications
using appropriate editors.

 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); and two to
three years related experience. Experience with using and developing
with Microsoft applications, including, but not limited to .Net, Visual
Basic, ASP, and SharePoint MOSS.  Experience managing and developing
using ColdFusion v7 preferred.
