WEB DEVELOPER Duties and Responsibilities: The WIDE World Online Professional Development Project resides at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Reports to Web Services Manager. Provides primary level of technical support (email/phone) for WIDE World online course platform and other internal and external WIDE World online tools used by course participants and WIDE World staff. Works on projects as assigned by the Web Services Manager. Other related tasks as needed. Position is temporary and grant-funded through 12/31/08 with likelihood for continuation. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Required skills: Bachelor's degree; 2+ years experience with ColdFusion and SQL; 2+ years experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Strong written, oral communication and organizational skills. Experience working with and providing technical support for inexperienced users; collaborating with content developers. Additional skills: Experience with ColdFusion components a plus; Photoshop experience a plus; familiarity with online discussion software a plus; Experience with cross-platform (Mac/PC) development, audio/video streaming skills, and multimedia production a plus; Spanish or Chinese language proficiency a plus.
