Salary - £50-60k inc benefits (tbc) Job Summary The web development manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of all web related projects. My client is changing the structure of the IT department which will allow for a greater amount of work to be put through the development team. The new structure requires that they increase the number of developers. Working directly with technical architect and project management resources the web development manager will ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, on-specification and on budget Main Responsibilities: The is a real opportunity for a Web Development Manager to become the leading force in delivering new and exciting online projects. Taking seniority of the Line management for a team of 13 including developers, designers, project manager and a technical architect, this role comes with great responsibility meaning that you will form a significant part in the direction of the companyâs development department. You will have extensive experience of leading a team and ensuring that the team is focused and able to complete all projects within the given timescale. By working closely with the team and not being afraid to get your hands dirty you will ensure you are able to meet tight deadlines You will be confident working within existing processes and also assertive enough to suggest improvements to the process to ensure they are able to continually deliver projects on-time Your experience to be able to confidently define and plan project scope and timelines to ensure all projects run smoothly will be required. You will also be confident in delegation and managing both technical and project management resources. Being delivery focused you will be confident running concurrent projects and be able to assign your resources accordingly. Experience: Ideally you will be working in a similar role, with considerable experience in online delivery. You should have extensive Project Management and/or Web Development skills and be confident working with both skill sets Any project management methodologies would be beneficial. You should work well under pressure while also understand business constraints and demands A high level of attention to detail is required along with good written and communication skills.
