Seeking part time and full-time Cold Fusion developers to work remotely for a growing CRM and e-commerce company in a extended freelance/contract position. This position will require at minimum a 20 hour weekly commitment. This is a good opportunity for developers with the necessary skills and work ethic. The software development team consists of high caliber experienced professionals that work closely together as a team to maintain to build new components for an existing e-commerce application.
We require a strong mastery of ColdFusion 8 with a solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server query building and optimization. Proven e-commerce application development is highly desired. Development Procedures: Developers will interface with designers and manager in a remote work environment. Developers will document work using basic code commenting. A standardized development methodology will be used for site development to ensure that the application code base can be maintained. The projects will involve the usage of a version control system (Subversion) to manage source code changes. A minimum of 3 years experience is required in the following: ColdFusion programming skills (logic, functions, custom tags, components, etc.) with an understanding of ColdFusion Server development environment (mappings, application architecture, variable scoping, client/session management, error handling, transactions, etc.). HTML skills. Must be able to hand-code HTML without use of WYSIWYG editors, using a text-based editor like CFECLIPSE, ColdFusion Studio or Homesite. Understanding of basic Document Object Models/CSS, creating multi-page HTML forms, MSSQL relational databases (tables, views, stored procedures, data types, etc.), developing ColdFusion applications that interact with relational databases, MSSQL Enterprise, writing and debugging complex SQL statements, as well as create views and stored procedures, optimizing queries for best performance.
