The preferred candidate will be a self-starter who works well in a team environment supporting Oxford's Front-Office Systems. He/She should possess the discipline of meeting challenging deadlines within a large-scale enterprise. Strong communication skills are a must as client and internal interaction are essential components of the position.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on web application developer / engineer who is able to jump in and make a difference immediately. Candidate must have demonstrated expertise in object oriented analysis, design and development, with three years of experience in ColdFusion and JavaScript. It will be essential to work well in a fast-paced, open, team-oriented environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * Experience and implementation of best practice design patterns * Experience with RESTful web services * Experience with unit testing * Experience with ExtJS will be a plus * Experience with Eclipse will be a plus * Architect / Develop new products and enhancements * Debug and test all work * Gather feedback from design and technical staff on application development needs * Build user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages * Author complex Web-based applications * Assist in project planning and Application design * Create prototypes and functional specifications for software projects * Create technical methodologies for engineering solutions to Web-based development problems * Meet with engineering personnel on specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines * Determine new Web technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug-ins, based on company's needs * Conceptualize long-term needs of application development, and plans and manages related projects * Make suggestions on creating Web-based technical standards for specific applications and the company as a whole ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
