Job Title: Senior Web Developer Job Type: Long Term Contract Location: Youngstown, Ohio Due to rapid growth, Consulting Professional Resources is searching for a Senior Web Developer candidate for a local client in Youngstown, Ohio.
Position Summary The Senior Web Developer plays a key role in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions applicable to the web, internal applications, databases and custom applications within the company. Must have advanced skills in the systems development lifecycle processes and apply our methodology effectively on both internal and external projects. The position requires the ability to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines and implement the plans in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. Principal Responsibilities 1) Develop new and maintain existing Web applications, including User Community, ecommerce, and other applications as needed. 2) Perform complete testing of Web applications, engaging users as necessary. 3) Develop and maintain company-wide Intranet, IT Ticket system, and any other internal systems as designated. 4) Develop Web portals allowing users to access date. 5) Design and code superior technical solutions for internal and external use. 6) Understand the professional development process and be actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning. 7) Work with Senior Management team and solicit feedback on projects and design solutions. 8) Actively apply feedback received in day-to-day work and strive to improve performance. 9) Coordinate with outside vendors as needed. 10) Oversee internal developer and delegate/coordinate project assignments. 11) Other duties as designated by management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1) Demonstrates expert knowledge in ColdFusion and familiarity with other structured programming languages such as PHP and ASP. 2) Exhibits proficiency in HTML and scripting language. 3) Experience in SEO and PPC analytics. 4) Create XML schemas. 5) Understands basic relational database concepts. 6) Demonstrate superior skills in SQL. 7) Possesses knowledge of various database access methods. 8) Demonstrates superior knowledge of object and component methodology and technology. 9) Possesses superior knowledge of classes, components, objects, and interfaces. 10) Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate and work with non-technical users. 11) Demonstrate strong problem solving and innovation skills. 12) Demonstrate strong leadership skills, while still being a team player. 13) Ability to work additional hours as needed, and be on call for any interruption in Web application services.
