InSite Interactive has an immediate opening for a mid/senior level ColdFusion Developer. The developer will work with a team of experts to plan and build ColdFusion applications that comply with our best practices and standards for quality and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Consults with clients to analyze and understand functions to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements. Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, compatibility with other systems, and computer capabilities. Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing, testing, and installing applications. Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms. Converts designs and specifications into computer code. Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications. Effectively uses available tools to debug and troubleshoot code errors and exceptions. Consults with client to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to attain client approval. Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with program. Analyzes, installs, and tests upgrades of externally developed application programs. Monitors performance of programs after implementation. Provide support to sales team as needed to provide informatin about feasibility or budgets. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following languages or systems. *Experience with, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. *Experience with advanced level hands-on development in Adobe ColdFusion (using both CFML and CFC's). *Experience with one or more of the following: Eclipse, Adobe ColdFusion Builder. Dreamweaver. *Ability to use, and experience with, standard "Office" software (such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc...) *Experience using various computer operating systems such as MS Windows (required), MAC OS X, and Linux. *Familiarity with database structures and experience interfacing with relational database management systems (RDBMS) *Rudimentary knowledge of SQL and one or more tools used to employ it. *Rudimentary competence using graphic manipulation software (such as Adobe Photoshop). *Rudimentary understanding of XML. *Knowledge of and ability to find and employ resources available on the internet (search engines, RSS feed, forums, blogs, etc...) *Experience working with API. *Rudimentary knowledge of Web Services. *Knowledge in Version Control primarily subversion and tortoise SVN. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
