Established Web development firm is seeking a Front-end developer to join our team. This individual will be implementing original designs for a wide range of clients from the Association and Non-Profit world. The candidate will be working with both our in-house design team and back-end programming staff to create high quality, feature-rich, cross-browser compatible websites which provide a superior user experience.
Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, extensive HTML/CSS/JS development experience, and will be able to get up to speed quickly. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree and will have three to five years of relevant web experience. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications, an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and a solid understanding of iterative software development processes. Required Skills - Expert level in hand-coding HTML layouts using cross-browser compliant CSS and HTML, - Ability to work with web designers and back-end developers to integrate design and functionality, - Experience in cross-browser compatibility in IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, - Experience working with jQuery and/or other JavaScript libraries, - Knowledge of usability standards and best practices for traditional and mobile Web formats, - Applied knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, - Desire to keep abreast of new technologies; and an ability to integrate them with web sites to enhance usability and efficiency of the sites. Bonus Skills - Experience working with AJAX, - Familiarity with OO concepts and design patterns, - Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with Subversion. - MSSQL/T-SQL.
